CHAOSScast #69 Released – Community Insights with Hedan Zeng (Part 2 of 2)
Last week we posted the first of two episodes of our amazing guest, Hedan Zeng, the Director of Product Management at Common Room. We are happy to present the sequel! Hedan shares her insights with Georg Link, Venia Logan, and Sophia Vargas as they talk about engagement metrics, community sentiment and unstructured community interactions, membership statistics, and measuring the risk for burnout. You can listen to this interesting Part 2 by going to https://podcast.chaoss.community/69.
Reminder: Help Make Our DEI Metrics Better!
We are hosting a survey for those who have been in traditionally underrepresented and marginalized in tech around our current DEI metrics and where we might be lacking. CHAOSS recognizes its own limitations with regard to who is developing these metrics and where our ideas for new metrics come from, so we want to broaden those perspectives through in-depth interviews and a brief survey. It would be amazing if you could help us spread the word about this initial survey, which lives here https://anitaihuman.limesurvey.net/796876?lang=en. We also want to give a shout-out to Anita Ihuman who is leading this initiative! Anita has been an integral part of several teams at CHAOSS, including our DEI working group, DEI Event Badging, and CHAOSS Africa. Thanks for heading this up, Anita!
Resurfacing the Discourse Migration
We’ve talked about launching a Discourse instance for a while, but we are going to be moving this forward in earnest. If you’re interested in working on this project, or if you have experience installing or maintaining Discourse, please reach to Elizabeth Barron (elizabeth@chaoss.community).
Help Us Bring More Listeners to CHAOSScast
