Welcome Jaskirat and Xiaoya to GSoD!

We are thrilled to have Jaskirat Singh and Xiaoya Xia officially joining CHAOSS under this year’s Google Season of Docs! Jaskirat will be working on the CHAOSS Community Handbook, and Xiaoya will be working with the D&I Badging Program, building out the documentation for applicants, reviewers, and moderators. GSoD runs until December 6 and we can’t wait to see the improvements and changes that they implement over the next few months!

Volunteers Needed for D&I Badging Phase 2 

Maybe you’ve always wanted to be an event organizer, but thought “nah, that’s a lot of work.” (You’re not wrong, it is a lot of work). The good news is now you can have all the glory that comes with being an event organizer without any of the actual work! Our D&I Badging Program is searching for volunteers to submit, review, and moderate mock events for Phase 2 of their pilot testing. 2020-08 Metrics Release

Metric Release 2020-08 is Finalized

After six months of hard work, CHAOSS is proud to release eight new metrics that can be used to measure open source community health, bringing the total number of defined metrics to 46. We also revised three existing metrics, added new focus areas, and restructured our Value Working Group to take a more accurate look at measuring value within projects.
