CHAOSScast Episode 60 – Lessons Learned in Implementing Community Management Metrics
This week, our host Venia Logan chatted with our very special guests Brian Oblinger and Lori Goldman about all things related to community management metrics. They discuss the evolution of measuring metrics in community management, and how several startups have been born around the desire to understand more about what “community” means to an organization. They also share some personal insights and stories from their own experiences in getting involved in community management and what they’ve learned over the years while implementing different sets of metrics. It’s a fascinating episode, and you can listen on the CHAOSS website.

Join Our Maintainer Burnout Session on June 17
As part of GitHub’s Maintainer Month (June), CHAOSS is hosting a one-hour interactive workshop on Maintainer Burnout. This will be on June 17, 2022 at 12pm US Central/Chicago time.
Burnout is a relatable issue, almost everyone has been there– and it’s something we see quite often in open source. CHAOSS is hosting an interactive working group session to understand how maintainers manage burnout and talk about how to facilitate conversations about burnout and mental health in their open source communities. We will also discuss the Project Burnout metric from our DEI working group.
You can register for this free event, or if you would like to help with the event, please reach out to Ruth Ikegah on slack.
