Matt Broberg and Venia Logan Talk Vanity Metrics On CHAOSScast
CHAOSScast #9 features two of our podcast organizers: Matt Broberg and Venia Logan. They chat extensively about the concept of “vanity metrics” and determining how we can distinguish them from helpful metrics based on social science. They also touch on issues like community management strategy, GDPR, and the curious case of what happens when the wrong behaviors end up being the ones that are incentivized. https://podcast.chaoss.community/9.
Seeking Input on Standardized Community Reports
We have been working with a few folks at the LF around being able to provide a high-level summary of some of our metrics for those who are interested in doing a quick review of their projects. Now that we have the general workflow around how those requests for reports will be processed, it’s time to figure out what kind of information will be the most helpful to present to people in a one-page document. If you are interested in joining this discussion, we are dedicating some time at the end of every weekly community call (11:00 am CDT on Tuesdays). Feel free to join us!
