CHAOSS Africa Update 

Thanks to the efforts of Ruth Ikegah and the other core members of CHAOSS Africa, our community is growing by leaps and bounds. We now have over 85 people in the #chaoss-africa Slack channel, and we want to extend a warm welcome to all those who have recently joined. CHAOSS Africa meets bi-weekly on Thursdays at 3 pm WAT, so we encourage you to join the call. (Details on joining are below).

CHAOSS Africa will also be hosting a Twitter Spaces Thursday, August 18 at 6 PM WAT to discuss African Open Source Contributors’ challenges and how we can work together to overcome them. You’ll hear from Open Source experts Samson Goddy, Bolaji Ayodeji, Ada Nduka Oyom, and Mesrenyame Dogbe. Be sure to set a reminder to join the Twitter Spaces on Thursday!

CHAOSScast #62: Joint Podcast with Sustain

In this very special episode of CHAOSScast, our panelists team up with the hosts of Sustain’s Podcast to produce a joint episode! We hope you’ll join Georg Link, Richard Littauer, Dawn Foster, Willem Jiang, Amanda Casari, and Ben Nickolls as they discuss the state of maintaining open source projects from sustainability and community health points of view. They talk about how the landscape of open source has changed, from funding to supply chain management, to community growth.

Volunteer Opportunity: CHAOSScon Streaming
