Volunteer Opportunity: CHAOSScon Streaming
We are looking for a volunteer who will be attending CHAOSScon in person, with experience in streaming video, to assist us in setting up this service for our remote attendees. If you would like to help our A/V team with this, please reach out to Matt Germonprez or Sean Goggins on slack. We are grateful for your help!
New Addition to Metrics: Context Tagging and Keywords
To help the users of our metrics better discover and understand metrics they want to focus on, we will be rolling out the addition of context tags and keywords to all our metrics. This is still very early in the process, but a first pass at the context tags is in this document. Context tags will be fixed, and will be a small set to choose from. Keywords, on the other hand, will be much more flexible and will be chosen by those who are working on a metric. Our new website and knowledgebase will give users the ability to search for and filter metrics via context tag or keyword. We are looking forward to helping our users better locate the metrics that make the most sense for them!
Change to Value Working Group
Our Value Working Group will be narrowing its focus to examine what “measuring value” means for our community members working in OSPOs. Previously, our Value Working Group included “Societal Value” as one of its focus areas, but the group decided that these metrics fit better under the DEI Working Group umbrella. Although no metrics in this area have been developed yet, there are plenty of ideas! If you are interested in working on measuring value for OSPOs or measuring value for the greater good of society, information on the meetings for both the Value Working Group and the DEI Working Group can be found below. We’d love for you to attend!
